Sri Lanka ‚Äď Japan Study Centre at University of Peradeniya (SLJCS), being the only of its kind in the country, has organized the annual conference on Sri Lanka ‚Äď Japan Collaborative Research (SLJCR), to promote research cooperation and to share the knowledge and experience among the universities and institutions between Sri Lanka and Japan.

In 2014, an MOU was signed between the UOP and the University of Brescia, Italy to initiate a staff / student exchange program under the Erasmas Mundus project.
