This discipline seeks to impart skills on human behaviour attributes such as leadership, teamwork and effective communication skills whilst covering broad dimensions in social science which extend to include Sociology and Social Research Methods.

The discipline also includes general management aspects which range from Organizational Management, Project Management, Human Resource Management (HRM) to Extension and Entrepreneurship training practices. Outreach activities, along with competencies on Journalism and Media contribute towards the enhancement of the overall versatility of the undergraduate. At the postgraduate level, programmes are offered in Organizational Management, Development Communication and Extension.
