Department of physiotherapy was established in 2007, to cater the growing demands of physiotherapy services in  Sri lanka. It is one of the main institutes which produces graduates in physiotherapy. Around 120 students have been registered for the degree program. The Department has 4 academic staff, specialized in various disciplines of physiotherapy, and academic supportive staff.

Department provides all students theoretical as well as clinical training of physiotherapy in government hospitals ,private hospitals and recognized institutions, to get hands on experience. Department is also equipped with a modern therapeutic gymnasium and a service unit.
