| An Overview of the Department | ||
Department of Community Dental Health consists of three divisions, namely Divisions of Paedodontics, Orthodontics and Community Dentistry. The department has 12 Academic staff cadre positions and 23 non academic cadre positions. In addition to the academic programme the department has 8 Dental Surgeons from Ministry of Health to carry out the service function of the department. This multidisciplinary department provides training to undergraduate students, postgraduate students and dental auxiliaries. In addition to teaching two clinical units namely Divisions of Orthodontics and Paedodontics attached to the Department of Community Dental Health provide service function to the public. |
