Department of Civil Engineering wins competitive SATREPS Japanese research award.

Civil Engineering undergraduate students had their Heavy Equipment Training, at Katunayake Expressway Construction site during the period of 5th March to 20th March 2011. CML-MTD Construction (Private) Ltd, Colombo 07, facilitated this program.

Department of Civil Engineering, University of Peradeniya, which is the oldest and the largest of its kind in Sri Lanka welcomes you to the web site.

The department enrolls 150 undergraduate students every year from their third semester after completion of their qualifying course in the Faculty of Engineering. Every year, department also enrolls postgraduate students to number of programs in specialized areas.

Our department offers a rich and diverse program of studies and research opportunities to undergraduate and postgraduate students not only to produce well rounded civil engineers to engage in the development of the country but also to prepare students for advanced research.

Our students do extensively engage in various sports, cultural, societal activities across the seven faculties of the university during their campus life.
