Peresntation Guidelines

Instructions for Preparation and Presentation of Oral Presentations

  1. Oral presentations should be in Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT or PPTX) or PDF format.
  2. Presentation time: 12 minutes (10 minutes for presentation & 2 minutes for discussion)
  3. Your presentation file must be provided on a USB memory stick to the session coordinator at the venue on 24th of November 2017.
  4. Make sure to hand in the presentation file during following time slots.


Presentation Hand in Time

Morning Session (10.30 a.m. – 1.00 p.m.)

Before 10.00 a.m.

Afternoon Session (2.00 p.m. – 4.00 p.m.)

Before 1.30 p.m.

Evening Session (4.15 p.m. – 5.45 p.m.)

Before 4.00 p.m.

  1. Session coordinator will ring bells to indicate time. Prepare to wind up your presentation at the first bell, at 8 minutes. A second bell will follow at 10 minutes to indicate end of presentation.

Instructions for Preparation and Presentation of e-Posters

  1. Please use the provided Microsoft PowerPoint template for the preparation of your e-Poster.
  2. Include your abstract submission number on the top right corner of the poster.
  3. Recommended font: Arial.
  4. Recommended minimum font sizes: Title 50; Authors 36; Affiliations 32; Subtitles (Introduction, aims, materials and methods etc.) 36; Main text (body) 24.
  5. File size of the poster should not exceed 20 MB.
  6. Please e-mail your e-poster to by 20th of November 2017. Indicate the abstract submission number and theme in the subject of the e-mail.

  1. E-Posters will be displayed on 42" (Diagonal) LCD screens from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on 24th of November 2017.
  2. Poster presenters are required to be present at the venue during refreshment breaks and lunch. Your poster is evaluated during the lunch break (1.00 p.m. – 2.00 p.m.). Be prepared to describe your poster briefly (4 minutes) to assessors.
