1. Opening ceremony of the refurbished Library, Class rooms and newly built Computer Laboratory of the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Arts will be held on 22nd December 2006 from 8.00 a.m. onwards

2. The Launching ceremony of the Upgraded LEARN and HEMIS Announcement was held on 29th November 2006 at 6.30 p.m. at the Waters Edge (Eagle Hall), Colombo.

3. The Mid Year Forum of the QEF grants with the participation of the World Bank Mission was held on 24th November 2006 at the Auditorium of Institution of Engineers, Vidya Mawatha, off Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo 07, Sri Lanka
