Research interests: Seed dormancy and germination of wild plant species. Seed physiology and seed enhancement of crop species. Plant community ecology and eco-physiology of wetland ecosystems.

Current research: Seed dormancy and storage behavior of seeds of Fabaceae species. Hydrothermal time model for Melastomataceae species.
