Vision

Our vision is to lay a solid foundation to the study programs in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science with highly qualified academic and support staff providing superior academic programs in Basic Veterinary Sciences and allied subjects, as well as to engage in high quality research and undertake development work through interdisciplinary and interdepartmental interaction.

Mission

Our mission is to impart basic knowledge to veterinary undergraduates on the structure, function and biochemistry of mammalian, avian and aquatic species. Further we seek to develop learning, communicative and social skills in students which will help them in subsequent years of the BVSc study program and graduate as competent and socially responsible veterinary professionals.
