Welcome to the Veterinary Medical Education Unit(VMEU)
The primary role of the VMEU is to further promote professionalism and excellence in veterinary education through its' key functions:
Monitors the implementation of the veterinary undergraduate curriculum.
Designs and implements academic and nonacademic staff development programmes through appropriate linkages with the Staff Development Centre of the University of Peradeniya and elsewhere.
Designs and conducts career guidance services in liaison with the Career Guidance Centre of the University of Peradeniya.
Designs and conducts training programmes in computer literacy programmes in liaison with the Computer Centre of the University of Peradeniya.
Coordinates activities related to Student Projects.
Coordinates and monitors the training programme conducted by the English Language Teaching Unit of the University of Peradeniya.
Designs, implement and coordinates the Industrial Placement Programme.
