A meeting with the Department of Classical Language and a team of Japanese International Cooperative Agency (JICA) was held on 22nd of June 2023 at the Committee Room at the Faculty of Arts, University of Peradeniya.
At the meeting, Prof. CNRA. Alles presented the welcome speech and Dr. P. Neluwala highlighted the programs that are conducted with the JICA. Ms. R. Kulathunga explained the current language courses that are being conducted by the department and the preparation for the initiation of the Japanese language courses in University of Peradeniya. Further, she has explained about the collaboration opportunities at the University of Peradeniya to the JICA volunteer program. JICA team has explained about the JICA volunteer program.

Prof. CNRA. Alles, Director, International Relations Office (InRO), Dr. P. Neluwala, Director of Sri Lanka- Japan Study Centre, Ms. R. Kulathunga, the Head of the Department of Classical Languages, University of Peradeniya and the staff members of the InRO have participated in the event.
