The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Peradeniya, successfully hosted the inauguration ceremony for the 2023/24 batch on February 21, 2025, at the Diamond Jubilee Hall from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The event was honored by the presence of Prof. Ranjith Pallegama, Acting Vice Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya.
The ceremony commenced with a welcome speech by Prof. MDMLDK Yatawara, Dean Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, who outlined the faculty’s academic programs and emphasized its role in shaping future healthcare professionals. This was followed by a keynote address from Prof. Ranjith Pallegama, emphasizing the importance of higher education in molding students’ futures and their contributions to society.
Senior students showcased traditional dances, bringing a lively cultural touch to the event.
This inauguration marked an important milestone for the new students, officially welcoming them to the University of Peradeniya and setting the foundation for their academic and professional journey.
