The International Relations Office, University of Peradeniya has organized International Week 2022 with the purpose of expanding international collaborations, exposing university students and staff to international educational opportunities, and promoting the University of Peradeniya in the global context.
This week is held from 21st – 25th November 2022 in collaboration with the Assistant Indian High Commission in Kandy, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Sri Lanka, the Russian House in Colombo, the Embassy of Germany in Sri Lanka, the Embassy of Japan in Sri Lanka and Japan International Cooperation Agency Sri Lanka Office.
The Inauguration ceremony of the international week was held successfully on the 21st of November 2022 with the participation of the chief guest, H.E. Michael Appleton,the New Zealand High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Prof. Don. Eliseo Lucero Prison III, Editor-in-Chief, Public Health Challenges, Prof. MD. Lamawansa, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya, Prof. WMT. Madhujith, the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya, the Deans of the faculties, and the Directors of the post graduate institutes of the University of Peradeniya, Dr. Nanda Gunawardhana, Director of Research and International Affairs, Sri Lanka Technological Campus, Prof. CNRA. Alles, Director, International Relations Office, University of Peradeniya, the Directors of the Centres, the Heads of the Departments and the management committee members of the International Relations Office, University of Peradeniya.
An International Education Fair will be conducted on the 24th of November 2022 with the participation of the First Secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Sri Lanka and an International Cultural Show will be conducted on the 25th of November 2022 with the participation of the Deputy High Commissioner of India.
