JICA Chair Programme at the Galle Face Hotel graced by H.E. Mizukoshi Hideaki, the Ambassador of Japan to Sri Lanka.

A Special JICA Chair Session was held in its full glamour on the 1st of October 2024 at the Galle Face Hotel graced by H.E. Mizukoshi Hideaki, the Ambassador of Japan to Sri Lanka. The Session featured a special lecture by H.E. Mizukoshi in which he addressed over 150 participants including staff and students from the Universities of Peradeniya and Colombo, officials from the JICA Sri Lanka Office and government officials who studied in Japan under the JDS scholarship programme. The Vice Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya, Prof. Terrence Madhujith was among the Guests of Honour of the Programme.
The Sri Lanka-Japan Study Center (SLJSC) of the University of Peradeniya in collaboration with the JICA, is hosting the JICA Chair2024 Programme for the fifth consecutive year, and fifty enthusiastic staff and student participants from the University of Peradeniya took part in the Special JICA Chair Session on the 1st of October. The JICA Chair Programme is a Certificate course of approximately six months that unlocks the secrets of Japan’s economic miracle to participants from leading Universities in Sri Lanka.
