The scenic beauty of the University of Peradeniya is well known for generations. Maintenance of over 1700 acres of lands with the vegetation is the sole responsibility of the Landscape Division headed by two curators. Although the Division took care of a vast area of lands preserving the beauty of the most picturesque university of the country, it did not have any occupancy in the cyberspace. Filling this gap, the Landscape Division launched its website by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor MD. Lamawansa on April 3rd. The event held in the senate house was witnessed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Terrence Madhujith, Mr. Gamini Dissanayake, Council member and advisor to the division, Dr. Nalin Suranjith, Acting Curator and Senior Lecturer in Dept. of Botany, Faculty of Science, Curator, Mr. Asantha Bandara, Mr. Uthumansa Ahamed, the University Webmaster and staff of the division.
