The Inaugural Inter-Medical Faculty Internal Medicine Quiz was held on the 28th of September 2022 as a virtual event. It was organized by the Sri Lanka College of Internal Medicine (SLCIM).
Twelve state medical faculties from Sri Lanka contested, and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Peradeniya team emerged as champions winning the trophy. The winners were ceremonially awarded the trophy, certificates, and medals at the Sri Lanka Internal Medicine Conference (SIMCON 2022) on the 5th of November 2022 at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel.
Ms. Umangi Karunaratne, Mr. Isuru Manawaduge, Mr. Pasan Kumara, Mr. Paveetha Abeykoon and Mr. Lahiru Kularatne are the members of the winning team. The team was trained by Dr. Chathurika Dandeniya, Senior Lecturer in Medicine, Department of Medicine, University of Peradeniya.
