An Event was held on the 16th of May 2023 to celebrate 50 years of contributions to medical education at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya premises.
There was a tree planting ceremony near the examination hall and a formal meeting held in the Boardroom. Professor Janet Grant, (Honorary Professor University College London, Director Centre for medical education in context) delivered the guest talk on Continuing Professional Development- Managing life long learning.
The event was organized by the Head Department of Medical Education, Dean Medicine and the past directors of the MEU.
