Workshop on Leadership and Organizational Change

The 3rd steering committee meeting of the project CApacity Building in Asia for Resilience EducaTion (CABRET) was held at the University of Peradeniya and Mahaweli Reach Hotel, Kandy Sri Lanka from 5th March to 10th March 2018. Representatives from over 15 universities from Europe and Asia attended the meeting. University of Peradeniya is a partner university of the project and was the host institution of the 3rd steering committee meeting. The CABRET project aims to foster regional cooperation for more effective multi hazard early warning (MHEW) systems and increased disaster resilience of coastal communities in Asia. The project is co-founded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.

The opening ceremony of the 3rd steering committee meeting was held on 05th March 2018 with the participation of the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya Prof. ParakramaKarunaratne. The keynote speaker of the opening session was Prof. SarathKotagama. TheProject coordinators Prof. Richard Haigh and Prof. DilanthiAmaratungaof University of Huddersfield, UK,were also among the gathering. The sessions were carried out throughout the week that includedworkshops, training programmes, sandpit events, meetings and discussions and site visits.
