Study Abroad Training Program offered to University of Tasmania, Australia (UTAS) on
‚ÄúSustainable Tropical Agricultural Systems of Sri Lanka‚ÄĚ

A study Abroad Training Program on ‚ÄúSustainable Tropical Agricultural Systems of Sri Lanka‚ÄĚ organized by the Agriculture Education Unit (AEU) of the Faculty of Agriculture was held from 15th January ‚Äď 12th February, 2017 at the Faculty of Agriculture. Twelve students and one academic staff member from the University of Tasmania, Australia (UTAS) participated at the Training Program. The program was conducted successfully with discussions, field visits, hands-on-experience in Agriculture of Sri Lanka, exposure to farm families and visits to historical sites, in three different locations namely, Kandy, MahaIlluppallama and Thalawakelle. The program was coordinated by Dr. Mojith Ariyaratne. Prof. Buddhi Marambe and Prof. Pradeepa Silva served as co-coordinators. This program was materialized through the MoU signed by the University of Peradeniya and the UTAS.
