Professor Ranjith Pallegama assumed duties as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya on 4th September 2024. The ceremony was attended by Vice-Chancellor Professor Terrence Madhujith, former Vice-Chancellor Professor M.D. Lamawansa, Deans, and key administrative staff.
Professor Pallegama, a Professor in Physiology at the Faculty of Dental Sciences, brings extensive leadership experience from his roles as Director of the Centre for Quality Assurance and the Staff Development Centre. He is expected to lead initiatives focusing on student welfare, academic excellence, and institutional growth.
