The Streering Committee Meeting of the Sustainable Development of the University of Peradeniya was held on 15th of December 2022 at the University conference hall. The meeting was headed by Prof. WM. Terrance Madhujith, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya.

Jayatilake, Department of Oral Medicine & Periodontology, Faculty of Dental Sciences; Prof. Tilak Hewawasam, Department of Geography, Faculty of Arts; Dr. Nalin Suranjith, Deputy Director of Center for Environmental Studies; Dr. Nilupa Amarasignhe, Department of Pharmacy, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences; Dr. Darshana Ruwanjith, Health Centre, Dr. Ruchika Fernando, Department of Veterinary Public Health & Pharmacology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine & Animal Science; Dr. Anuruddha Karunaratne, Department of Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture; Mr. Chaminda Wijesundara, Department of Zoology, Faculty of Science; Mr. Isuru Gunarathne, Department of Operations Management, Faculty of Management), the non academic staffs (Mrs. Sanjeewani Marasinghe, Deputy, Registrar, General Service Division; Mrs. Kanchana Atapattu, Statistical Officer, Statistical Division; Mrs. Chandima Rathnayake, Senior Assistant Registrar, Student Service Division), and Mr. Uthumansa Ahamed, webmaster of the University have participated.
The current progress of the objectives on the SGDs in the University in 2022 was discussed and the new senior academic & non- academic members to address each SDGs is appointed based on the speciality.
