The UI GreenMetric World University Ranking evaluates institutions based on six key categories: Setting and Infrastructure (SI), Energy and Climate Change (EC), Waste (WS), Water (WR), Transport (TR), and Education (ED). The University of Peradeniya excelled in these categories, achieving 1300 in SI, 1550 in EC, 1125 in WS, 750 in WR, 1600 in TR, and 1725 in ED.
