Meeting with National Science Foundation

A special discussion was carried out on 14 November 2017 at the Department of Geology, National Science Foundation, since Sri Lanka has called for Joint Proposals under the areas of mutual interest to address national priorities through Research and Development with a major focus on the Chronic Kidney Disease on Unknown Etiology (CKDu). The required proposals should be based on the categories of Health, Water & Environment.

The Sri Lankan Team of the Joint Research Group will be funded by the NSF, Sri Lanka under the ICRP Grants Scheme and the Chinese Team of the Joint Research Group will be funded by the NSFC and in the evaluating process of the proposals, Prof. PANG Zhonghe, Director of Geothermal Research Centre, IGGCAS will be involved.

Prof. PANG Zhonghe, Director of Geothermal Research Centre, IGGCAS, Director, International Affairs Office and Prof. Rohana Chandrajith, Prof. Rohan Weerasinghe and Prof. Tilak Hewawasam took part in the discussion.
