A discussion on ERASMUS MUNDAS Research and Exchange Programs

A discussion on ERASMUS MUNDAS Research and Exchange Programs was carried out at the Senate Room, on 11 December 2017 at University of Peradeniya. The discussion was chaired by the guest speakers of Dr. –Ing. Ingrid Ruuge, Managing Director of the International Graduate School for Dynamics in Logistics, Universitat Berman and Prof. Teresa Goncalves, Assistant Professor, gLink representative from University of Evora, Portugal.

The program was organized to expose the significant information about the Scholarships for the Students and the Academics within the relevant fields.

Erasmus Mundus provides a response to the challenges of globalisation faced by European higher education today, in particular the need to adapt education systems to the demands of the intellectual society, to enhance the attractiveness and visibility of European higher education worldwide and to stimulate the process of convergence of degree structures across Europe. In addition it provides an important vehicle for the promotion or intercultural dialogue between the European Union and the rest of the world.

The discussion was collaboratively organized by the Faculty of Engineering and the International Affairs Office, University of Peradeniya. Dr. Asela Kulathunga, Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Nanda Gunawardhana, Director, International Affairs Office and approximate count of 40 students and staff members from the University of Peradeniya took part in the program.
