A three-member delegation from the Faculty of Dentistry and the Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences, Niigata University, Japan, visited the Faculty of Dental Sciences (FDS), University of Peradeniya, on the 22nd and 23rd of May 2025. The delegation comprised:
Prof. Kenji Izumi – Professor, Division of Biomimetics
Dr. Keichiro Okamoto – Associate Professor, Division of Physiology
Dr. Masaru Kaku – Associate Professor, Division of Bio Prosthodontics
On the 23rd of May, the delegation met with the Vice Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya to explore opportunities for further strengthening the sister link between the two institutions, with a particular focus on enhancing collaboration between the respective dental faculties. A similar discussion was held between the visiting team and the academic staff of the Faculty of Dental Sciences.
In addition to these meetings, the three visiting academics conducted a series of mini-lectures for dental students, contributing to academic enrichment and promoting international academic exchange.
