Three key personnel—Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krishna P. Bhandari, Director of the Center for Space Science and Geomatics Studies; Assistant Prof. Bikash Sherchan from the Department of Geomatics Engineering; and Assistant Prof. Nabaraj Neupane from the Department of Civil Engineering—along with four students from Oxford College, Pokhara University (a constituent campus of Tribhuvan University, Nepal’s oldest and top-ranked university, established in 1959 AD), visited the Department of Geology at the University of Peradeniya on November 27, 2024.
During the visit, they held discussions with Prof. Terrence Madhujith, the Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Sanath Rajapakse, the Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Nanda Balasooriya, the Acting Head; academic staff from the Department of Geology, including Dr. Jagath Gunatilake and Dr. Dharmapriya, to explore opportunities for future research and academic collaborations.
