The University of Peradeniya had the honor of welcoming Mrs. Marie-Louise Hannan, Director General, South Asian Global Affairs, along with Mrs. Indirani Jayawardena, Political Officer, High Commission of Canada, on their recent visit to the university.
The delegation was received by Professor Terrence Madhujith, Vice-Chancellor; Professor Ranjith Pallegama, Deputy Vice-Chancellor; and Professor Sanjeewa Malaviarachchi, Director – International Relations. The discussions focused on potential academic collaborations and development opportunities between the University of Peradeniya and leading Canadian educational institutions.
The visit provided a platform to explore avenues for student and faculty exchanges, joint research initiatives, and other partnerships aimed at strengthening ties between Sri Lanka and Canada in the higher education sector. The University of Peradeniya looks forward to fostering these collaborations, and contributing to global academic excellence and innovation.
