Professor Anna Förster from the Sustainable Communication Networks, Faculty of Physics and Electrical Engineering, University of Bremen, Germany recently visited the university and met with Professor Terrence Madhujith, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, and a team of academics Professors Lilantha Samaranayake, Sanath Amaratunge, Vijith Herath, Mahinda Herath, Drs. Usoof and Nawarathna.
The purpose of the brief meeting was to explore the e possibilities of developing collaborations on research and academic work. The possibility of getting students of the University of Peradeniya to develop innovative products/services and seeking technical assistance from Bremen for the best innovation to develop further was discussed at length. Professor Anna’s expertise lies with computer applications for sustainability, thus she expressed her willingness to provide the assistance required in her area of expertise.
