Faculty of Management Welcoming the Next Generation of Postgraduate Leaders
MBA/MSc New Intake 2026/2027 The Welcome Ceremony for the MBA and MSc New Intake 2026/2027 was successfully held on 31 October 2026 at the Senate Room of the University of Peradeniya, marking the beginning of an exciting academic journey for the new cohort of postgraduate students.
Organised by the Postgraduate Unit of the Faculty of Management, University of Peradeniya, the ceremony was graced by Professor Terence Madujith, Vice Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya, as the Chief Guest. Professor Ranjith Pallegama, Deputy Vice Chancellor, also attended the occasion, together with the Dean of the Faculty of Management, Professor Richard Wickramaratne, the Chairman of Faculty Higher Degrees Committe, postgraduate programme coordinators, members of the academic staff, and other distinguished invitees.
The ceremony featured an inspiring address by the Guest Speaker, Dr. Chandana Aluthgama, Executive Director of LOLC Life Assurance Ltd., who shared valuable insights and perspectives with the incoming postgraduate students, highlighting the importance of continuous learning, professional development, and leadership in today's dynamic business environment.
